I was wondering how it was patriotic, but then I saw the colour scheme and realized that the alternating red-white-red is reminiscent of the colour backgrounds of each third slice of the Canadian flag! And also the star-shape is supposed to be a purposefully misshapen maple leaf for the full subtextual effect. The blue of the napkins is just to throw people off. I get it, you guys.
